Like many seaside locations, Sandgate has a limited amount of parking available. However, there is a range of parking options available for visitors. There are up to two hours of free parking on many of the key roads within the village. Almost all the roads in the Golden Valley (Enbrook Valley) have free parking.
There is a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) on many roads in the village of Sandgate. The CPZ restricts longer-term parking to permit holding residents and businesses between the hours of 8am-6pm, excluding Bank Holidays. There is FREE on-street parking for up to two hours for any visitor on any parking bays on roads that display a sign saying so. Those roads include Sandgate High Street, Castle Road, Granville Parade, Military Road, Radnor Cliff, and Radnor Cliff Crescent.
On other roads in the village, visitors can park for free outside the restricted hours of 11am-3pm Monday – Saturday. Those roads include Wilberforce Road, The Crescent, Bybrook Field, and Bybrook Way.

Roads marked GREEN are available for visitor parking outside the hours of 11am-3pm Monday to Saturday. Roads marked in YELLOW allow 2 hours free visitor parking between the hours of 8am and 6pm each day, and unlimited parking outside these hours and at bank holidays.
Permits
Qualifying residents and business can apply for parking permits for the Sandgate CPZ (Zone S) on the Shepway Council website. Parking permits allow longer term parking in all restricted roads within the CPZ area.
There is Free car Parking available along Sandgate Esplanade [HGV parking is prohibited].
Gough Road six parking bays which is free parking for up to 24 hours.
There are paying car parks in Castle Road and Wilberforce Road, with parking costing £1 for up to 2 hours, £3 for up to 4 hours, and £5 to park all day, and both free outside the charging hours of 8am-6pm.
There is also a Lower Sandgate Road West car park open 8am-8pm only. This car park costs £3 for the first hour, or £12 for up to 4 hours.
In addition, holders of a Sandgate Residents Parking Permit can park in Wilberforce Road Car Park free of additional charge.
