The Chichester Memorial Hall

Chichester Hall Clock Plaque

The Chichester Memorial Hall – Sandgate’s Village Hall – is located in Sandgate High Street, the lower ground floor being occupied by Sandgate Members Club.

The Hall is for hire by community or private groups, and holds the long running Sandgate Farmers and Makers Market on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month.

The Old Fire Station / Sandgate Heritage Trust

The old fire Station

Raising its fish scale spire above the rooftops it forms the centrepiece of the High Street, though the bell no longer clangs in the bell-cote, the bright red double doors proclaim it to be an old fire station.

A beautifully pine-panelled room with an oriel window overlooking the High Street occupies the first floor floor, and with its own kitchen area and toilet is available to rent.

The Old Fire Station more than a century old is thought to be unique.
